About JT Property Wash

JT Property Wash is the largest exterior cleaning business in the Wellington region. From our Lower Hutt base we provide a nationwide service.

JT Property Wash is a professional, experienced company that has been expertly maintaining property exteriors since 1985.

The company is a division of J. Tomlinson & Co Ltd., Registered Master Painters, which has been operating since 1962. We provide superior service because we understand painting techniques and characteristics.

Many of our employees are from a painting background and Director Ray Tomlinson has an Advanced Trade Certificate in Painting as well as having eight years’ experience in sales and marketing with Dulux.

Health and Safety

Our operators are well-versed with current OSH Health and Safety requirements regarding working at heights and handling lead-based paints and asbestos. For example, if we are working at height or on roofs, there are always two employees to ensure safety. We are a member of HazardCo which works to promote improvements in health and safety practices.

Giving to our Community

We have been part of our community for nearly 50 years and giving to our community is part of how we do business. For that reason, when in 2006 our parent company J. Tomlinson & Co Ltd repainted Te Omanga Hospice in Lower Hutt, JT Property Wash agreed to clean and maintain the buildings for ten years pro bono.

JT Property Wash also helped out during 2008’s Big Splash Naenae, a community initiative to paint 20 shops in 12 hours in Naenae in the Hutt Valley. JT Property Wash washed down all buildings ready for painting and assisted with painting to help out the local community.
